Dominics Farewell

We sadly said goodbye to our Deacon Dominic Hyland on Sunday March 21^st. He and Nanette have moved to Manchester to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. Canon spoke with appreciation of Dominic'a wit and bonhomie, of his eloquence and his poetry - not forgetting Nanette's superb meringues. As a remembrance we presented them with a painting of Victoria Road where they had lived in Thornton. Mrs Crane had also prepared one of her wickedly humorous and colourful cartoons.
